Wish I could. Mayebe more like north west. End of Jan or early Feb gonna try for German browns in milwuakee harbor
Is Wisconsin still planting the Seeforellens?
Nope. That's why I want to go. They are big last few years and will start to fall off
Why is everybody cutting back or discontinuing browns? Michigan is doing the same thing and of course we just manage for put and take her in Indiana. Must be the declining forage base in the Great Lakes?
Been going north (Wisc) for 2 weeks now. If you wanna ice fish I guess you gotta drive a little. Not sure if we’ll ever get ice here along the I 80 corridor this year !
Where are you headed to in the UP??
I think anyone from Indiana wanting to ice fish in the next couple weeks the way the extended forecast looks.
LOOKS LIKE IT IS GOING TO BE A COUPLE MORE WEEKS ANYWAY. SHORT SEASON

Survival of the browns tanked in the 2000s which is why Michigan cut back Wisconsin cut back their wild rose strain (one of the strains michigan saw declining survival in iirc) so they could keep their kings at the behest of the charter industry
