Lower Schroon Lake ??

Does anyone here that lives up in the Schroon area, have any idea if the lower end (launch site) is open water or frozen?

I’m not looking for ice lol. I wanna know if I can access my winter smallie holes right now. I didn’t have time to get there to load the boat before we got the cold temps.

That should be open, rest of the lake is, except extreme northern edge by the marina

So I can either launch out of horicon or the north town launch? Any idea if the parking lots are plowed?

Hey schrnlakr, any chance you can keep me in the loop about schroon come Sunday? I have my last open water trip planned there for Sunday, to launch out of the northern main lake launch... I’m a bit worried the lake might lock up within the next few days. If it does, can you let me know? You would save me and a buddy a good drive from Clifton park.
