Hey Pat--I feel your pain, I live for ice fish'n and Ice Shanty in the winter....never get much time for summer fishing. Someday I'm going to retire and do this for a living lol......my address will be under some heating vent of a large building but,I'll be ice fishing every day

you can always punch a hole in your lawn this summer if ya cant fish wetwater.haha as for your depression..theres prozac or get a girlfriend

I hear ya,  guys!!!!!  I picked up a rew rod at the leisure show and am waiting for open water.  You can always cast in your back yard ( not that I do that !!!) to fill the void !!!!

9 months???

This is Saskatchewan!  We ice fish from the first week of November till the last week of March!

i probably will get out a dozen times beofre april 15th(northern zone) so it won't hit for a while yet.

I hear you meadowpikeman. A little over a month left in the season up in the north. I'm heading out tomorrow for lakers. I take my rifle with me when I head out to the lakes. There's a month left in the caribou season and you often see the herds bedded down on the smaller lakes. I've got 1 more tag to burn. Either way, something is dieing tomorrow.
