First frost
« on: Sep 28, 2018, 11:05 AM »
Looks like tonight will be our first frost of the fall season, calling for low around 25°f here in nw Wisconsin. Heard a rumor of snow flurries on Sunday possible. Could be a early winter around these parts.

Very nice!

I was just thinking it's getting cold a few weeks earlier than usual, the end of next week looks pretty darn close to ice making weather in the mountains:

Sat 10/6   40°/19°   0.08 IN   0 IN    A couple of showers possible
Sun 10/7   45°/14°   0.03 IN   0 IN    Rain and drizzle possible
Mon 10/8   37°/19°   0 IN   0 IN    Mostly cloudy
Tue 10/9   39°/18°   0.05 IN   0 IN    A couple of showers possible
Wed 10/10   37°/17°   0 IN   0 IN    Overcast

We will likely see frost here in Iowa tonight, which makes sense as I'm muskie fishing tomorrow. Next week has one day back into the 70's so I'm not calling early ice up yet. Hopefully its sooner than last year

Now they are saying we could get up to 1" of snow tonight. It is a little to early for that nonsense.

Even had a little frost on the truck this morning in SE WI. Grass and plants were just wet... Heck, it's almost October!

They said we could get frost here in lower Mich. And since we live in the Ausable River valley we will no doubt get it. Pretty much the coldest place in lower Mich. in winter. Won't be long now.
Tried ice fishing with Dynamite, UGH... where's my shanty?
