I thought this was going to be a thread about those dudes who circle your hut on snowmobiles or ATV's looking for floppers.  As for frogs, I'm not ready for them yet. ;)

No peepers yet, but there was a skunk outside stinking up my house last night. Woke me up around 2:30am.

yeah, now that you mention it, I saw a couple of those too. All this rain is flushing a lot of critters out of dens early.

Every year skunks are one of the first signs of spring. When you smell them, it won't be long, except for maybe a blizzard or an ice storm or two...  :o

Come on guys - It's mid/late February. How many of these do we have to see to agree that winter is about 70% of what it once was/should be. You'll be mowing the dam lawn next week
Go to Heaven for the climate, to hell for the company!

I also heard a few peppers yesterday afternoon, also saw a few red wing black birds, both are at least a few weeks earlier than usual .

Yeah, I went outside last night to grab a few breaths of fresh air and heard peepers.  I also had some night crawlers in the driveway.  Weird.  jperch

I heard some peepers right before I started mowing the lawn, but I stopped to watch the robins pulling nightcrawlers in the yard. The wife saw a dead possum on the way home from town, while looking at it,she ran over a skunk.I need to get out the shotgun, those pesky redwing blackbirds are starting to congigate near the house.Come to think of it,I haven't seen any ice around here for several weeks..........I wonder it it up and flew south! ;D
