Catfishing ?

Just curious if anyone has ever fished for catfish during hard water season? I have caught them in other states during soft water. Any ideas were i might find some in Montana.i live in western montana. Thank You so much.  GOOD FISHING.

If you want to catch some black bullheads (only getting to perch size), Id say go to Shady Lane Pond in Kalispell.  If your trying to target channel cats, I would say try where the Marias River dumps into the Missouri near Loma.  Its a bit of a drive away if your living in western MT.  Fishin for these cats is done best in Mid summer.  You would be wasting your time if you tried during the winter.

I don’t think you can get into any channel cats west of the divide in this state. You’re only option would be black bullhead as golden trout said. If you feel like taking a road trip peck and trr are both good places to ice cats.
