new to fairbanks and need advice
« on: Feb 28, 2006, 09:59 PM »
I'm new to the fairbanks area and was wondering if any of you kind men and women could give me some advice.  I have been looking for a burbot spot.  I know that a good burbot hole is worth it weight in gold up here so any advice is better then nothing.  I don't have a snow mobile so I either have to walk there or drive my truck there.  I have triied the tanana a few times and all I could get was cold.

Remember pouter do it in the dark!

Welcome Spear Chucker!
If you find a good spot, SHhhhh!  Most of the common spots are all listed here, but sweet spots are really hush-hush.  Get a snowmachine and head down stream from Fairbanks.  Lots of good fishing away from town.  You could try the Tanana in Nenana?  It's worth a try!
