Nice. You must be the only one , been pretty slow lately with a lot of sorting when you do get 'em.

Thanks guys. I was near the Dora ramp but went up stream a ways. Marked fish all over but the biters were all 5-7 feet. Good luck and tight lines!

Good to know plenty off white crappie in Salamonie. Congrats on your catch.

I'm going down there this spring for some white crappie broodstock. Going to cross them with black crappie. I have easy access to black crappie broodstock in nearby lakes.

All the really big crappies I get into to mount from 17 to 21 inches are natural hybrids.

Did you have any more 3.3 pounders in the shop since I saw you in the spring?

Got in a couple in the 17 range that were natural hybrids since the spring. Close to 3 pounds. Both anglers were mum on where they were caught IIRR.

Wow! I think I have only seen one crappie in the 16-18” range. Was caught in Round Lake at Laketon. 20 plus years ago when I worked for Pierceton Trucking

Some lakes will never produce a crappie over 13 inches. Some do from time to time. I really believe the hybrids are the key to monster size crappie.

Just got back from 105. Bite still slow, most of what was caught was around 8" or so.
