The drill or the battery?
For at least 4 years there has been much chit-chat about the difference in cheap batteries and drill motors and the VALUE of lifetime warranty products.Home Depot has both but, only Dewalt purchased AND REGISTERED for the lifetime warranty AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE qualifies.
i read the switch was 115$ plus shipping for them installed.it is rdigid tools that has life time warranty, but this won't help the man now.
i posted this a while back, unless you lie to ridgid the tools nor batteries are covered for ice drilling.
A buddy of mine had a 2704 die on him while using it on a krill. He purchased from a friend and no longer in warranty. Since Milwaukee is closed at the moment has anyone had to repair out of warranty and know the cost? Tia.
. How old was this drill? Was it a pos when he got it?
The drill looked brand new when he got. Used very very little. By the way, idahogator, with all due respect, I really don’t care about rigid drills or anything else at this point. Simple question as to if anyone has experience on price of the 2704 repair.
I appreciate an apathetic attitude. Did you happen to notice my statements were not directed at ANYONE?Sorry, kind Sir for my failure to ensure I was understood. All my stupid fault.I wish you a successful remedy to the issue. I wish you a happy and successful ice season. Good evening.
jwetovickPm wirenut. his son had sent his in for repair and the repair cost, parts and shipping was worth more than the tool he said. he told milwaukee to keep the tool.best to hear it from the man himself tho.https://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?action=profile;u=47165
If it makes any difference he says it will run in gear 3. Damn thing.
It's 2704 Milwaukee.I've had this happen a few times now. First time, I took it to the local service center. Dropped it off, the guy called an hour later saying there's nothing wrong with it.Not sure of the cause. My fishing partner has one, and treats the drill similar to mine, and doesn't have the issue.
