Hello ice fishing brothers. Not looking for coordinates to anyone's favorite spot, just want to know ice status for any lakes in Warren, Sussex or Morris counties. Thanks!!!

Figured I would finally join this forum....been checking it for years!
Budd Lake has a consistent 4 inches out several hundred yards off shore. Counted 12 folks fishing there this afternoon.
Small lakes in Sparta also 4 inches, remarkable similarly.
Lake Hopatcong open water on main Lake, 2 to 3 inches by state park, but there are some scary pressure ridges not far off shore, surprised no one was fishing there late today, but it was COLD with the wind.
Be safe, take no chances!

I'm going to check out furnace in the morning, I'd expect pretty decent ice there but I'll report back tomorrow with my findings

Lakes up in North Jersey are looking great. Monksville has been getting fished on as well as greenwood lake on the NJ side anyway.  I went fishing yesterday at friends private lake comm. in Vernon and they had 7 in of ice on there lake. Looks like its going to be a great season this year. Cheers guys

NJChris, we fished Furnace Lake Sunday and Monday first light until midday. Bite was slow. Ice was 3-4" of good black ice.

Fished Slip Rock yesterday. 9 inches of ice everywhere I drilled. Jigged some nice sunnies and some small perch. Tip-ups landed a 13" perch and along with a bass, 2 pickerel, and some smaller perch. Fished 10 to 12 foot of water.
