Newaygo county ice conditions

Been out on a couple lakes in kent County last week and want to try a little further north where I can fish in more than five feet of water without only having one inch of ice . Anyone been out ?

3-4” of white ice on the south shore of Hess. Not enough for me...yet. If the forecast holds, it won’t be long.


But not to Hess, fishing there has gone to pot year round except for bass.

it has been for me the last 2 winters over there.
did u access of Gordon avenue?
that east side is chock full off springs.
