A rising barometer will usually slow fishing down :'(
I can't remember where I saw it (old age kicking in) but during change from low to high pressure, plankton move down and tight to cover and are less acessable and the rest of the food chain follows
It makes sense and in general seems correct but there is always the exception

I live for stable high-pressure systems.  Consistant weather = consistant fishing

Amen.  Totally agree Big Red.  Rising and falling barometer are hit-and-miss but get a couple of days into a steady pattern and it's fish on.

I agree that a few days of a steady barometer is the best fishing time. Sometimes you
can't beat a falling barometer. Like today it was falling and I had a fair bite. I hate to
fish (but will) during a high pressure system.

Gotta go with Mac and Bigred. Nothing like a stable weather pattern to make things easy on a guy. I have lakes that produce when sunny and also lakes that produce well when it's more overcast and there is always the excepetion, fish we you can and care less about the weather.
