After last year I am so ready to get on some ice. Even if I have to travel north I will be on ice this season!!

you are not kidding on that one. I will do what ever I have to do to get some fish through the ice. Bought a flip over last year and never really got to try it out

shouldn't be long if the weather holds out like this. I would like to see the smaller lakes/ reservoirs freeze up soon.

I never bothered trying to catch my own bait because I also fish NY a lot and have to show a receipt stating that I did in fact buy the bait and it is no more than 10 days old

Checked out yellow creek this morning was in the area... Needless to say after last year it wasn't fishable I don't recall at all..that being said grandma's cove had skim about 30yds out and my pike spot had skim over 50yds hopefully the wind slows tonight. And tomorrow that skim should be doubles that being said  new line is on reels and everything is in sled waiting to load up and go only thing missing is new flasher come on Christmas hahaha....

Got a trip up to Erie this weekend, deer season will be over, so now it's time to wait to get on the ice!!!!!! AHHHHHHH it's driving me insane.

here in the east we're supposed have cold temps with not too much snow right through the holidays into next year! I'm dreaming of thick ice and fat perch!
