With the amount of ice we have now along with colder temps the middle of this week I am thinking you will have no trouble the end of the month. If you have a mind to you could probably make the same trip the end of April as well.
I have ice fished in April before and will be this year also!!!!!!!!!!!
doesn't apply to northern Maine. all lakes close March 31st.
I will be ice fishing in April also, just not on Square. I have always thought to Ice fish the last day and then snowmobile over to the thoroughfare and wet a line on the first. I think that would be cool but have yet to do it. Maybe this is the year
Just spoke to warden, no April ice fishing up in the county.
Wrong
Your PR skills are impeccable
In an effort to improve my public relation skills:If you go to this linkhttp://www.maine.gov/ifw/fishing/laws/pdfs/2017fishinglawbook.pdfAnd go to page 3/70 title General Fishing Laws for Inland Waters, you will see the special codes for the state (blue box bottom of page). That includes S codes and Special season codes A, B, CI, and CO.Then as you go down through to page 5 and beyond you will see an alphabetical listing of lakes. This is an example:ARNOLD BROOK LAKE, Presque Isle (NorthRegion). General fishing laws apply, except: A.S-19. Motorboats over 10 horsepowerprohibited. Open to open water fishing fromOctober 1 - November 30 and open to ice fishingin November: S-6, S-7.Arnold Brook Lake is a Class A lake meaning it is open to icefishing until April 30th and the daily bag limit on trout is 2 (S-19). You are also allowed to open water or icefish in November but with artificial lures only and all trout, togue and salmon released alive (S-6 and S-7).Presque isle is in Aroostook County. Carry on.
It lists northern and western counties , is it too difficult to list the counties name?
