Fished Lake Mitchell in Cadillac yesterday - 8 to 10 inches of ice covered by a few inches of snow.  Saw a few snowmobiles and a couple quads and a handful of other fisherman.  Shore access was good and solid at Camp Torenta and Thirstys.

I was on Mitchell and Cadillac also today , great ice and lots of pike were caught around the 24 inch range , as for me pan fishing I did not have a single bite for the seven hours  that I fished .  Had six dozen minnows and came home with 5 and half dozen left .

Been a strange bite up there this year.  The pike have either been hot/cold and the pan fishing way below average.  The last 3 years it was fairly common to get a limit and this year I had to really work to get a half limit and it seamed like the 1st hour of daylight was the only window to catch nice fish, otherwise it was plinking off dinks and 1 keeper per hour of fishing was my average...

There was no safe ice on the bay but I did manage to bring home 300 perch in the cuts by au gres in the last 3 days😀 there was skim ice today but I was able to break it up with a branch enough to fish
