Need help locating replacement auger blades
« on: Feb 14, 2017, 10:34 AM »
I bought a Strikemaster Strike-Lite 8" Auger in 2009, and I can't seem to find replacement blades anywhere.  Everything I'm finding is for the Strike-Lite 2, which are not the same.  Does anyone know where I can find them?

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.  I emailed Strikemaster (now Rapala), and this is what they told me.

Jeff,
Thank you for the email.
Unfortunately these particular blades have been discontinued for some time now.
In this case, we suggest a replacement power drill for your powerhead.
Happy fishing!

I bought an 8" Strike-Lite 4 Stroke Auger from Strikemaster in 2009. I need to purchase new blades for it, but I'm not able to find them anywhere.  Can you direct me to where I can purchase replacement blades for my auger?

Thanks,
Jeff

Pretty good excuse to tell the wife you need to get a 6" bit for your gas auger! LOL

If you are in the market for an 8" there was a few for sale on icejunkies last i saw.

I'd say see if you can get the old ones sharpened, but after watching you drill this year I'm not sure there is any edge left!

Those look very similar to my eskimo blades, which I sharpen myself. Shouldn't be to hard to have done as long as there is any sort of edge left to follow.

his blades can be sharpened i believe.  the guy at johnny's is going to try and find them for him says he can get them.  he's got 11 months to do so.    otherwise we should be putting an 8" kdrill on that powerhead lol.

Both SOLID ideas.  Now if you two can just convince my wife of that after I just bought a new hut and bibs this year, I'll be good.
