White perch/lakers
« on: Feb 12, 2017, 08:41 PM »
Hey guys I'm headed to the lake this weekend. I'd like to get into some white perch or try for some lakers. Any advice where to go that is safe. I've fished caspian for lakers but not much on the lake. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This snow will be covering bad ice. Play it safe...

I was just on the ice @ Mcuens yesterday. good ice but only caught 4 whites and a few yellows. storm may have played a part in the slow bite but the ice is great all the way to the channel. pressure crack to the south of the slang so head towards the bridge and you will be fine. venturing closer to the bridge past the first red buoy could be risky but 8-10" until that point.

Simply put just get out/ and do it

In the channel 22-28 FOW I was marking fish coming off the bottom to look at my bait. The few I got to bite were whites. In the shallower flats I was only marking what seemed to be roaming fish as they would come and go but nothing really wanted to bite. Tried every color and they seemed to like the silver and black combo the best.
