9 inches on lake Simcoe near Georgina island. Should be closer to 30 inches in a normal winter.

There's a good 8-10 inches in the Champlain islands. More on nearly all of VT's inland lakes and ponds. Looks like we'll be on ice for a while.

I measured 12" on my favorite lake here in NW Wisconsin on Sunday. I had a guy at the landing tell me "there was a solid 16" out there..." I drove out my ATV, and he took his truck. When we got out on the lake we measured the ice and found that it was really only 12" and 2 of those 12" were frozen slush... the dude looked at his truck and started sweating a little!

Still only a 5 pound bag of ice here in the freezer. Western PA is not looking good for safe ice. The crazy thing is once it's here...might not stay long!

Here in Wv ,we are having our best ice ever.As of this morning we have 24” of good black ice,with temps expected to drop below double digits for the 2nd week in a row.Ive added an extension on my auger,and for the first time ever,I will be using my custom built 8’x16’ shanty...............o k,I’m lying,we got nuthin,I just wanted to see what it felt like to say it!

Finalllllyyy getting some cold temps here WNY. My pond in Wilson has about an inch and a half almost 2 and the Wilson harbor is just starting to form some.. hopefully another week..

A short drive and I can get to 4-6 inches on larger lakes and 10+ on smaller lakes/ponds, especially ones with some elevation.
