Willow slough
« on: Jan 09, 2017, 11:48 AM »
I heard the slough was possibly opening up this past Saturday. Does anyone know if it's open before I make the hour drive?

We had a rough day ourselves. Wanted to go to the back but we were told in the office that the roads were closed to the back. So we fished our usual spots up front that "usually " produce something but not today. Drilled over 60 holes but nothing. Maybe the evening guys did better. My buddy said to far to walk from headquarters to the back for him.
Fish as much as you can we're not here forever!

For as many people fishing the catch rate is pretty bad. Even moving hole to hole hasn't helped this year.

They had birdhouse point road closed off so I went to the front. Pretty sure patrol road was open because I know all them people didn't walk from HQ

They did mention both of those things in the front office. I'm not positive there's open water back here but when fishing the front the past couple of days I've seen some birds headed down somewhere out that way. They may have a pocket opened up.
