I wouldn't guess at all, take a spud and find out!! Sure wouldn't take anyone's guess for granted!!

I used a spud on every lake I went to this weekend. Don't take some one else's word that a lake is safe make sure you check you self. I was using a spud on lakes with 4" -5" of ice that I haven't been on since the warm up. A spud is a cheep insurance policy.
