i don t hear a real lot about godfreys pond during the winter.  is it usually good for ice or just convienent?   i sure do get alot of people going there in the summer.
i would venture a guess that oakorchardking checks it out plenty as he lives by batavia.
they are out on braddock bay this morning and can t wait to hear how they do. there were also people fishing long pond yesterday but that seems a little foolhardy to me as it is not real shallow like braddock and i know there is not more than three in on the ponds as of last night.

All I can offer about Godfrey's is....
If your not a member of the campgrounds, you "DO NOT BELONG THERE"!
And from what I gather, it is well protected in this manor!

I have a personal friend that has offered to take me there, saying that during ice coditions "YOU CAN EASILY FILL A 55GAL. DRUM OF KEEPER GILLS"!
He both works at a tackle shop and is a member of Godfrey's.... If I am MISTAKEN about being a member during the winter to access this HOTSPOT... please inform me otherwise!

Oak,

You are correct about having to be a member or having to go with a member.  My friend was just looking into getting a membership out there to hunt birds.  I guess they have some sort of pheasant stocking program aside from the campground and lake.

"Porkers??  You talkin' about porkers Mr. Hoopa?"

They also have a trout raising thing going on too!
