Good spot for tip-up action?
« on: Feb 09, 2006, 08:49 PM »
I am looking to get my wife out before the ice condition's turn crappy again.  Can anyone point me in a direction for a spot that should produce lots of flags for pike, pickerell or bass?  I don't usually fish for toothies or bass so don't have any really good spots to try.  If someone can post a spot or PM me a spot to try it would be appreciated.  I live in Hudson Falls and really don't want to drive more than an hour.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Try Brant lake for perch.  Set up in about 20 to 25 FOW.  It is usualy a flag plentful day as long as a cold front hasn't just blown through.  The perch are very grubby though but the average 10 to 12 inches on the tip-ups.

Try Adirondack lake right by the parking area, lots of pike!! Not many monsters but lots of action on tip-ups.
