Tough weather
« on: Dec 15, 2016, 04:50 PM »
Be careful if travelling to North Central Montana the next few days.  Roads are snow packed and icy, lots of new snow today, and BITTER cold temps the next few days.

No way !! Got roughly 10" of snow here so far & the roads are just horrible. Heard G'Town got 14" - 15" so far. Forecast calling for -25* here Saturday morning which means G'Town will more than likely be at least -30*. Windchills -40* to -45*. I'm going into hibernation for the weekend LOL !!

To those of you diehards..........Play safe & stay warm !!

Going out tonight maybe early morning go gtown. First time this season too, I'm just doing it for the bragging rights.  ::) One of the posters in another thread mentioned that the salmon are bigger this year so I need to check it out for my self!

They are bigger EVERY year. I've only fished it for 35+ years and have yet to see it though...

Last year, I consistently caught nice Kokes and fewer of them, my first outing of this year reminded me how small those kokes really can be.  I didn't fish Comer's as much last year, and I wonder if that made a difference.  I'll take quantity over quality any day.
