Who big of a pond?

How big of an area would a guy need and depth wise to keep a population of sunfish and perch?

i'd recommend looking up an actual fish pond website, but i can say that if you want this pond to be any kind of interesting to fish (i assume that's what you're shooting for) i'd say at least a few acres, and about 20 feet deep at its deepest point.

ya that's where I'm going next. I have an 80 acre piece I'm designating to wildlife so I figured I would put  a fish pond in.

Here in IL. DNR recommends 1 acre or better, 15 feet deep.For the northern part of the state. Check your states DNR.
