Weekend Sled Deals??
« on: Nov 26, 2016, 07:26 PM »
Has anybody seen deals for smaller pull sleds?

Nothing fancy, just enough to pull a bucket, auger and flasher.

I've had and seen bad luck with spilling gear in shallower sleds made for sledding rather than utility. If you're careful at the shore getting on and off and stay away from real rough ice it'll be fine but not worth it in my opinion. Sorry not a sale but wanted to throw that out there

SG has the basic Jet Sled on sale for $30 or $33 (club member vs non-member) available here:

Use the code SH1252 until 12/1 for free shipping on top of that.

Exactly correct on losing gear cause the back of it is sloped .. how you could fix is screw a 2x4 acrossed the back of the sled so it acts as a stop to prevent gear from falling out.. for 6.88 it is a little cheaper then a $33 jet sled..

I'd go with the Jet Sled because not only won't you loose your gear but will hold up and last a lot longer because it's made of far thicker plastic.  Also and there's not much of a chance of water that's on top of the ice getting in because the the sides are a lot higher.
