Great news ice junkies! Looks like LaNina will be in effect this winter. This weather pattern means colder than average temperatures for the northern mid west and great lakes region. Just what we need after the dismally shot season last year.

Have been alert to the la nina for about 3 months now .. glad there saying it a for sure thing In the prediction.

above normal snow, so hope if that happens it's after a good ice base is made. makes for a lot of wet ice.

Yeah that's what i'm hoping too....hoping for early to mid Dec safe ice this year on my shallow water hot spots.

I hope it comes true and gets so cold that we need extensions on our augers and are on the ice until April.

yeah, been hearing about the la-nina for a while now. Latest report I read said because of some large warm water mass in the Pacific the la-nina is going to be weak. Basically, it means a regular winter.

Just anounced that the fall temps are going to be below avarage for the next three months according to weather. Com's weather guys ..

I'm saving up for a johnsons cargo rack or similiar for my snowmobile this year.this arthritic body doesn't like tromping thru deep snow anymore.less hassle to unload a 340 sled than walk thru a ft or more of snow a couple hundred yards away..

The last time any weather bureau was correct was 5 minutes ago when they actually looked out the back door. On my way to look out back myself, it's 50/50 on them being close tonight, a forecast months in advance  and it's no bet
