The Maine Fishing Guide on Google Earth
« on: Feb 18, 2016, 06:30 PM »
I've tried to download to a new computer twice, but can't open the program so the Maine layers, especially the depth and contours, show. Anyone got any help to offer? I thought I read recently that the program was being changed or dropped this year, any insights to offer? Or is there an alternative for my home PC? ???

I had'nt looked at it in awhile, probably over a year ago or so.

But just last weekend there was a pond I wanted to check out so I started it up and it didn't seem to be working correctly, and that is even on the computer that I had originally downloaded it on years ago.

So the problem is not because you are trying it out on a new computer.

I couldn't get the boat ramp feature to work at all...and it was awfully clunky and slow... it still worked as far a species and depths but even they were clunky when they loaded.

I don't know any inside skinny...but definitely it wasn't working like it did a few years ago.

I hope they are just fixing it rather than dropping it completely as I find it a useful tool in some cases.
