Got my son out this mornin for the first time this season. Proud dad here. He got a couple of the nicest slabs I've seen, all on his own. Biggest was 15", 1.5 lbs.
And it was a beautiful day out to top it off!

It was a great day to get the kids out!

My son caught his first couple Trout through the Ice today also. Makes You really proud doesn't it? Great Job to the both of You

Congrats to your son as well. Proud is an understatement. Funny too..As I walked over and tried to to guide him, he says "no I got it", and proceeds to pull the trap out, set the hook, and pull the fish in.

Oh yeah! Ive heard "when are we going fishin again?" like 20 times since yesterday.
