Limit Changed for Bangs in Wauconda

Just a heads-up for my brothers to the north.  Per the article, the new daily limit for perch, bluegill and sunfish is ten.

If It were me. I would fish somewhere else. I grew up fishing Bangs. Went out there last Friday night for some crappie. While I did indeed catch some. They were of no size. I found this to be the case more often than not on Bangs. It just has to much fishing pressure on it. If you want to catch small stunted fish Bangs is the lake to head to. Not saying there are not bigger ones swimming there. Just not nearly as many as in years past. It is a shame what has happened to Bangs. The new rules need to be enforced.

I stopped going to Bangs last year after 2 outings that produced much smaller seeds and crappie. On the second outing it was a Saturday and over 300 folks out on the lake-knew it was time to fish some where else. Started hitting up fox lake.
