New Ice
« on: Dec 07, 2015, 11:33 PM »
The ice around Laramie is in the 4-6 inch range.  Being from Minnesota, I'm not used to December warm ups.  What is a week of 40+ degreeweather going to do to the ice? Thanks for your help.

I'd say 40°+ weather would melt the ice surface.

Its usually not this warm this time of year and its putting a dampener on the ice fishing. My guess is that the ice might be a little sketchy if not gone by the end of the week if this wind and 45 degree weather keeps up.

Just depends on how cold it gets at night... luckily some cold temps are coming at the end of this warm up.  The ice will last in my opinion but use caution guys!

For sure be safe with this little warm spell, that top layer can go soft and spongee quick. Next week is definitely looking better for temps lets just hope the trend stays that way
