empire dv 215 heater ??
« on: Nov 22, 2015, 05:26 PM »
Whats the best way to clean pilot light? Seems to have a weak flame that is not heating thermo coupler up. Also how high should flame on the burner be if it is running on high?
Is it ice time yet???

A very fine tip needle should clean your pilot orifice out. Problem is spiders and insects like to crawl in there an make nests in the summertime. That why everyone has a hard time restarting those. Your flame height is determined more by the color of the flame. I believe you are aiming for a blue flame with very minor yellow tips. I could be wrong on that particular  model, but look it up in your owners manual or online

Had a spare pilot assembly , just swapped it out and it works fine. Didn't bother to try cleaning it. Had that one that I knew was good.
