the question:
good question for you guys with toaster ovens do you find that the toaster oven the jigs don't fully cure in the time said on the bottle of powder paint? mine has that problem is why if so do you leave in longer? cause mine seems to have more air gaps around the door to help toast bread I am guessing and dry out the bread ? I have been using the reg oven up stairs with great success.... 350*F for 15 minutes or 325*F for 20 minutes is all mine needs now seems to have better more even heat on the jigs...

comments on powder paint:
also for the guys that shoot docks check out tjs powder paint it is very durable once cured right... I have bounced a 1 ounce jig off the floor hard as I could... it does not chip the pain just dents the lead! so if you shoot dock In the summer soft water seasons for crappie with jigs it is a awesome paint! or are sick of forceps breaking the jigs paint off another good reason to go powder paint protec or tjs paint...

They actually have a pretty good selection. Prices....well.....the y're as high as would be expected from a retail outlet. I did get some really bad scud back material from them. The brown colored stuff was worthless. Couldn't even tie it down without it breaking.

But, they have other stuff that's very workable. Worth a stop if you have a list.

The shuck is made of Darlon. Similar in texture and waviness to antron, but it SINKS! Perfect for emerged patterns

Hope I am not intruding, Thanks for the link Bob, I finally made it all the way through all 17 pages. I had to stop often, and go wash all the drools off my face. Love all the pictures, even the deranged shop

One of my nephews worked in a cabinet shop, stopped in on vacation and mentioned I needed a cabinet for the camper, he took me to the shop, and as if he twitched his noise like Samantha, Poof there it was.

RG, hope your day on the ice went well, So far found some of the materials I use to make "Ice Flies" with in the 60's, but haven't found my old beater starter vice. Might have to grab one of the starter ones at the store. Or visit a lot of yard/garage sales, and leave no stone unturned. Since I started calling myself retried, have mostly kept my fingers busy making some wake baits, namely mice and rats. See Art Berry, makes one like I did before he was born

I noticed one thing now that it's been over year that I haven't smoked I thought I would save money but it seems like my fly and jig tying supply's have gotten quite large so I don't think I'm saving

Modified "Double Martini"

This old pattern killed the gills last summer. Have to imagine it would find a taker or two through the ice. I added some flash and a bead head.

which is even better then dyeing.... the best part is you can enjoy you toys for a long time ... ya fly tying helped me quit smoking to.. probably why I am so good at it....any how don't quit quitting.. you will thank your self later... when you slow down on the fly tying like I have you get bored every 6 months to a year you can afford new boat by not smoking a pack a day look at it that way not talking huge boats but some thing to get you on soft water and fish like it is ice season if you have not got a boat yet when I quit the price sky rocket to 5.25 a pack from 2.00 a pack that 3.25 more then I wanted to spend I started when they were about 1.25 a pack and was smoking a lot at school and work just the times then... now every thing is smoke free to help with the health insurance of these places... now I am not even sure what prices you got now... my buddies that smoke go for the 4 for the price of three pack deals etc... and say they still cost around $7.00 a pack one of my buddies went to roll your own to save money does not either they taste like good cigarettes.. but still your money is going up in smoke!
