Believe it or not, finally got out on an actual ice-fishing trip. Been away a lot this winter, none of it where I could fish.
Anyway, today I drove out to Little Atlin Lake to try and get some whitefish for supper. Here's my first fish of the season, caught in seven feet of water, 24" of ice, jigging a small, inch and a half, orange twister tail jig two feet below the ice.
Of course, I left my camera at home.....
We have a good five weeks left, so will make up for the late start.
Best,
Ted
