Well after many years of sporting the infamous orange suit, its time to retire it. I bought the striker ice hardwater bibs last week & the jacket arrived today (3 days earlier than expected). Its one hell of a setup! XL fits perfectly! Too bad its gonna be WARM the next few days. Looks like it might get its first mixed bag of precipitation this coming weekend. The orange might come back out on the really warm days, 40+ is a bit to warm with the striker bibs (unless I wear shorts under them lol) If anyone ever debated getting this gear, you won't regret it, TOP QUALITY!

So what happens if the bass count drops after the Orange jacket goes away? Or you start catching dink bass? Does the Orange jacket come outta retirement?

I have the same set up and it is great. That is exactly what I do come spring, shorts and the bibs. It is nice to have a little insurance with spring ice conditions and Striker floating bibs.

Your forgetting one important thing! I never thought of the orange being lucky. That was something that you or someone else told themselves to make them feel better bahaha 😆👍👍 I believe in my skills and what I've learned from countless hours on the ice. Keeping the jacket, still in perfect condition. Extra coat for those days that someone doesn't know how to dress in the extreme cold 😆

You wont regret that purchase, same one I have, wear jeans only, no long johns, you don't need them!!

I've been trying different things to wear. Jogging pants little warm, long johns little warm, jeans probably the same. Good thing for vents on the warmer days :-)

Keith, i have the same exact setup and it is warm. Most days I just wear fleece pants (like jogging pants?) and Underarmor/Poly shirt.

You've seen it stand up to rain. Its what I had on during Eds infamous pants umbrella outing lol

ya its worth more than I paid! Rather be a little too warm than too cold. I've had the zippers open all day on the bibs, very thin long johns on (Walmart cheapo's) Coat came off in the first hour, sweatshirt shortly after that. T-Shirt & bibs until the breeze picked up. Pockets galore!! I'm 6'2" 235ish and the XL in both fit perfectly!

I just stole a striker performance hoodie from fish307 on Saturday for 70.00! It's so good I doubt Ill need more than it and a set of the bibs. They say its windproof, I proved that true! Taped zippers lead me to think this may actually be waterproof as they claim as well!

that would be cool! Although now I'm everywhere, nowhere, out there in the shadows, blending in with the crowds lol. Its black & grey , the color of smoke and shadows. Just when you think you've spotted me poof I'm gone 😆
