I was on fish lake last weekend and got into quite a few perch.  No eyes and nothing worth keeping really, but the bite was good.

Well, we went to Caribou yesterday and had a alright day.  We iced 3 fatty largemouths, a couple of nice crappie, and of course 5 or six weed cutters,  no real size.

There is a road off of the dam.  Last time I was out everyone was driving to the side of it because of the warm weather a few weeks ago, making it very rough.  But people were driving out.  Didn't make it out this weekend myself.

The bridge on Island Lake seems to be a good spot,  I see anywhere from 1 to 6 guys every day when I go to work.  And Fish Lake has always been a good lake for eye's and crappie.  I don't know if I'll get out this weekend,  but I'm planning on going up north to Rainy Lake in two weekends.  That should be a good time. maybe take the drive over to Lake of the Woods one of those days.  ;D

Hey guys, Chub lake (just south of Carlton) is a pretty descent lake if you don't mind the drive.  There is a spot on the opposite side of the park where depths range from 20-25 ft and there is some submerged veg. nearby.  Small schools of mid-size crappie.  My buddy and I are going to try out Caribou for the first time tomorrow, hope it goes just as well.
