Ugly Looking Morning Thursday

Well...Headed to Matlock again tomorrow AM. Nothing like freezing rain warnings!!!! All the traffic will be heading south to go to work and I will be the only one heading north  I better put the cow catcher on the truck...I just hate it when those little japanese cars slide across the highway in front of my truck.  Will report tomorrow...if I make it out

I had a late start and the perimeter highway was a mess.......roads and lousy drivers.
As temps were predicted to fall, I turned around and went home   in the  freezin rain.
Looks like that poster will be on blue for another week

Stupid...Stupid...Stup id. Thats I can say for my self. I went straight up #8. Yea BI I made it to Matlock....70km/hr slowing to 50km/hr after Petersfield turn off because the road wasn't plowed...more snow up there...4" . Hit the lake with a vengence...OOOOoooo... No more road Weatherman said 30km/hr wind. Well Ac will make his own road (only got stuck 4 or 5 times) and more like 70km/hr wind. Was it worth it....You Bet !!!!  Caught a bunch of fish but it was like fishing in the land of minitures. My tracks going out blew in within 5 min. It was a fun ride back to shore...only took 45min. to dig myself out of one spot. If you don't like to abuse your 4x4 or can't afford to fix what you break (like me) it would be advised to snowmobile out or wait till the nuts make a road (like me). No slush and the ice is a consistant 23" thick.(tape measure) Once the morning blizzard calmed down I took a few pics (nothing caught worthy of a pic).
 Good trip out onto the lake..


I hit a hard spot....this is good....


Now...only to get off the lake...
