I am always trying new things Currently have 5lb powerpro ice tec with a short 4lb  seaguar fluorocarb leader. I was in the middle of a frantic perch bite lost my leader to a walleye and tied direct to the power pro Blue. never noticed a letup. When the fish are finicky a fluoro leader cant hurt. I also have some new 10lb tuffline with 6lb seaguar leader for walleye. It also works well for perch.
Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.
