Mrs. Roacho
« on: Jan 10, 2006, 06:32 PM »
Mrs. Roacho admitted today that the constant noise of my minnow bubbler no longer bothers her.

Baby steps......baby steps......

LOL My wife will not even go in the garage right now cause I have my bait tank running and she says it makes her have to pee every time she goes in there. But she has not said no to me fishing yet this year.

You need to put y'alls bait in the basement.  It keeps everything silent around the house, the wife wont hear a thing and you've got alot more room for your bait tank !!!!
Dont let the big one get away!

THe basement is better its cooler in there (that is if you have a heated garage) SInce its cool they last longer and arent as shocked when they hit the cold water on the lake :)

I keep mine in the heated barn but I keep them on an outside wall.

Since fishing doesn't put shoes on the kids feet - Mrs. Roacho has to make frequent trips into my fortress to keep the fire going and make sure the quail have fresh water.

I have a tank set up in the basment also. Just started it this summer with limited success. Any suggestion on water temp and what to feed the minnows(otherwise know as my death row inmates)? The longest mine stayed alive was about  aweek and a half .

Gasman check your water temp. If you are loosing baitfish within a week somethings not right. My water temp in my garage is about 36 to 38 degrees. Colder than a witches you know. anyway. I dont worry about feeding my bait I just keep the aerator and filter running so the water is always moving they tend to look for food when I drob them in the lake so I would say let em be. Keep em cold.
