75 percent is still open water
There has been ice at the Station for weeks, it is getting crammed with shacks, and most of the stupid fish
have already been caught and the rest have seen hundreds of jigs.

Anyone been around the State Park part at all? Usually freezes among the first on the lake but haven't been out that way yet.

Cyber scouting on your first post isn't quite how things work around here.

My sincerest apologies. I've been fishing there for over 10 years, simply wanted to know if the ice was safe, not looking for tips. I figured this message board was for helping each other out, I'll go back to reader only.

Be advised that the Indians object to the name squaw island so it has been changed.

Somebody said Miller Island. I don't know who decides what names should be. How can it be an official name
if anybody just comes along and denames something then puts their own name up ?
Maybe somebody will come along and do away the name Sebago and replace it with Obama.

Checked the ice close to St.Joes, Thomas rd, Friday 5.5" at shore to 3.5" a couple hundred yards out. Didn't go beyond the nice little pressure ridge building. Be safe out their.
