On tip ups I usually use minnows or powerbait. On jigging rod I use small kastmaster tipped with maggots or waxworms

It's a stocked trout, use minnows, power bait, jigs with wax worms mousies garden worms plastics etc. Spoons, kast masters, swedish pimples
.
best thing to use changes lake to lake, day to day, even hour to hour, as well as depth and clarity of water. I wouldn't use a light jig in 40 foot of water or stained water, I would use a spoon to fish deep water, flashy or bright lures in stained water, glow colors at first and last light. Common sense stuff

Thanks everyone.  I appreciate it.  Never thought of trying Powerbait on a tipup.  Will give it a try.

These are always with me:
1. Cooked shrimp. The kind you get in the frozen food aisle.
2. Dew worms
3. Meal worms
4. Fresh uncooked shrimp
5. Powerbait
