They are diving for him this morning.  Stay safe, and go prepared.  That is always a dangerous piece of ice.

I can't find any news posts on this either.  I saw it on BFT, so I thought I better give a heads up, with many going there this weekend.  True, or not, it always pays to keep safety at the front of our minds.

Just checked the Wyoming site.  Sweetwater County is diving and searching this morning.  It happened around 2:30 pm., yesterday.  They are not releasing any info, at this point.

I checked the Wyoming boards and found the news report from Sweetwater. Thoughts and prayers for the family. Let's all be safe out there.

I was at Lost Dog when it happened. We were fishing the Black's Fork arm and they were in the Green River channel just north of the point. We saw all the rescue vehicles zoom past bouncing along the dirt road. I thought their boat was going to fly off the trailer it was bouncing so much! We had a good solid 8" of ice everywhere we drilled but we didn't go close to the cliffs where I've heard it's a lot thinner. I only saw one four-wheeler on the ice but there was at least one shelter out in the middle.

The dive team recovered his body yesterday around 11am. It's pretty sad to lose a fellow fisherman through the ice.

very sad to hear this, condolences to his family, everyone be extra safe this year, its been a difficultyear with the warm weather and winds, no fish is worth risking your life for
