You may want to check the DEC site for regulations on that entire area. I like to fish small "hike in" lakes and have to watch closely as most small trout waters are off to ice fishing.
Fish hard and live long !!!!!

I would give my left nut to icefish any of those ponds, Upper Siamese Pond, Lower Siamese Pond, Mud Pond, Hour Pond, Peaked Mountain Pond, 13th Lake ........just imagine the brookies, lakers, salmon, rainbows, and browns you would catch!

When I used to live up in Warrensburg I would head over to 13th lake or peaked mt pond quite often. This summer I started heading into siamese ponds through the south and there is some nice trout streams in there.

yeah especially the east branch of the sacandaga, shanty brook, county line brook, and tower brook. They all hold beautiful brookies!

Yup - you are right about the monster bucks.

I had one in my sights last year but missed and got a nice oak instead.

I hope he's still running around come October.

I love going into the Siamese Wilderness area from the south. Especially where you have to cross the East Branch of the Sacandaga River on a cable or if you're luck 2 cables.
