Hey,I have a broken Extension ladder. My neighbor came over to cut my tree down for me and dropped a huge branch on it. What did you use to connect the two sides?

1/4 x 2 aluminum strap top front, and aluminum tubes across from top to bottom for braces, bungie straps bolted on top of ladder front and rear that now hook into the re-enforced washers on tub.  Made a "Wagon" from slotted angle with swivel casters front, stationary casters rear for putting tub on when no snow.

Good stuff IFF. I have always been amazed at the ingenuity of ice fishermen. Now I'm going to have to look for that old ladder... Thanks for sharing the pics.

Nice, now you got me thinkin.  I built a Smitty last year and the wood seems pretty heavy. Pulls nice on flat ground though.

Both smittys are wonderful.  I hadn't thought about a wheeled cart, but could have used one today trying to get down to Parvin from the parking lot.  The whole Red Feather area is pretty sparse with snow.  Congrats on your creativity.
