Racine harbor

Hi all this is my first post here.

Planning on giving Racine Harbor a try this weekend. I want to get a brown through the ice, and I have a few questions. I have one frabill thermal tip up that I want to try the rubber band trick with. It is spooled with 25# tip up line and a (10')10# flouro leader. Does that sound ok? I have some #6 trebles, but should I pick up some circle hooks instead? I have never tried spawn but might give it a try if it is available at turks otherwise I will stick to minnows. What size minnow? Also I will be jigging a 24" medium rod with 8# flouro and kastmasters. Should I tip the kastmaster with a minnow? Minnow head? any suggestions on color? or any other hot lure/spoons?

I know this post is question heavy and I dont expect to have them all answered. I know I'm over thinking this but I have been skunked on my last 30+ outings in Chicago Harbors in the fall and I desperately want to land a fish (some of you might now how I feel). Any input at all would be greatly appreciated!
