Anyone test the waters on Sodus Bay yet?
Was there yesterday and it appeared there was about 2" of unsafe ice, didn't test the waters tho.

I just told you where to park, I said nothing about catching my fish ;D. I should have gone to Sodus today myself. Is it safe enough to take a sled out of third creek out to 30' or so?
I still think 5:00 am is a little much  ;D

Hey man, what did the trout bite on? I had one on yesterday with a glow jig and a Rosie red. Faught for 5 mins on a jig pole and lost it. Very very sad, let down.. I was in the middle of the bay..

One of our buddies was there yesterday, didn't do anything but a couple small gills, so they went to the main bay off grassy pt. and got 30+ keeper perch and 2 small pike.

I fished Big Bay this evening for 2 hours. Brought home 22 real nice gills and lots of throwbacks. I may be out there with Pequod tomorrow..
It'll eat.

I did about 20 myself this morning, dished them off to a buddy as I had to work this afternoon. Still have a freezer full from crappie season. I'll wait on a bucket full of those perch before I break into the fillet knife cupboard!

Hey in all seriousness though, has any one personally been out of third creek or seen people heading in and out there? Port Bay and Fairhaven have proven to be disappointing so far and I remember having so-so luck out of third last season and can't wait to expand my safe fishing access list. :icefish:
