Try calling Connecticut Outfitters, they will get it for you if it can be had.

Go to a consignment store and get a pair of thick sole boots for them, then screw sheet metal screws in the soles Maybe get a pair of kids work boots a couple sizes bigger so you can put a couple pairs of wool socks on.

Yup, that's what I use to do to Ry's boots when he was younger.
Worked great! But remember to have the kids take them off before entering the house
