lowrance elite 4X OR similar another ?
« on: Jan 05, 2015, 09:09 AM »
If anyone uses a unit like this. I have a ? I called lowrance and downloaded manual but wanted a real world ? to be answered by someone here. I was curious what freq your jigging with? 80khz or 200khz? I think I have been using 80, I just learned that 200 maybe better they consider shallow water anything 60 ft or less......? In my mind 60 ft is deep since I dont usually ice fish much deeper than that. Also is there a feature or a way to get rid of any cross talk with other units? I was using noise rejection but that feature is not really designed for that and I could be missing fish If i turn on that feature. thanks for any input.

Thanks I was not sure, its confusing because its marketed as an 83/200 transducer, I thought i could run it either way. Ill keep working with it.
