Thompson Chain and island

Hey I was wondering if anyone had been fishing the Thompson Chain of lakes, Loon, or Island lake yet this winter. If so how has the fishing been and what size of pike are people getting especially out of island.

pike have been really slow in island as with perch when we went

yessir! also heard of some pike being caught outa thompsons... and they werent little

Man ima have to try island. Never have a prob with the perch in there.

I tried island this last weekend with slow fishing 4 pike and perch.

lower is for sure and i believe upper as well, end of this week they really should be

I'd be very cautious on Lower....  There were people fishing at the upper end [of Lower] on Friday but there was open water by the inlet on the side opposite the highway.  After seeing it last week when it warmed up and had just barely started icing over... Looked like a recipe for a swim.  This cold spell will do wonders but please be careful!
