Ideally Pond shiners- but large legal bait. Have a lead North of me 60 miles for med/large threadfin--  but those Big tasty golden shiners are the best.
Crossing all digits for ice...

uh..  (sounds painful when I re-read that)

I know county stores in Milford has bait but nothing abnormal in size really usually just regular shiners. Any where around  Winnipesaukee usually sells smelt, shiners, and suckers if that's any help.

Right now I can confirm Squam river bait has large shiners in his tanks for sale. Call and ask for ED.

I think that one (Steves?) Is closed now-- Not sure if he is open later.. But closed now I was informed - Hope I'm wrong. Hate to lose good bait connections.

Go to the F&G web-site. Look under bait dealers - lists dealers, towns, and phone #'s. Good luck.

bait at shops is usually pretty expensive. i just set minow traps. catch a lot of small cats to tho. i feel like pike would eat the little catfish but its probably illegal to use them.
I hate my username. I made it when I was 14 and I dont know how to change it.

Yeah, pearchy definitely illegal... they do look pretty tempting, though!  I always thought they would perform pretty well if I could put them on a cusk device... oh-well
