First Ice

Finally got out on the ice this weekend. Caught tons of small perch and gills, but was a success in my book. Took some video with the Go Pro and put together a short video. Enjoy!

On Saturday there was 5-7" of ice but all the snow melted and became 1-1/2" of standing water on top

Thanks for the update.  The 30+ holes I drilled in Eastbay on Thursday all had 4-7".  On the main lake I was looking at 3-4" and less.  The tempts don't bother me as much as the rain we could get.

Hey fishon77, just want to know if u guys r going to keep your 10 foot distance from us this year at the Midwest Open? Pretty bad when I step out of my shanty and bump into u guys fishing one of my holes. Congratulations on your victory! Good luck see u February 1st.

Pretty sure we were fishing are 5" holes that we drilled before all you guys come over and spudded us in also thought that you weren't in your shanty either one we realized you guys were we moved no fish where caught no harm no foul. Good luck in the tournament hope we have ice!

I have the GoPro 3 Black edition. Go with a model that has Wifi capability so you can use your phone for preview/viewing of video being taken.
